"This is NOT a spectator sport!"

This game is good fun, so long as you're the one playing it! There is no plot as such, but who needs one, basically the idea is to float over a city in a big pink air balloon and demolish the city skyscrapers with bombs.
Confused? Well, add to that the fact that you can hit any of the hapless people who run around at the bottom of the screen, these include the builders, the balloon salesman (ironically enough) and a guy on a stakeboard! Hit them and you get a bonus, but nothing like the bonus you'll get if you hit airborne targets such as seagulls, UFOs and missiles. However, these ariel objects threaten to pop your balloon and send you crashing to the ground!
You must destroy the buildings fast enough before your slowly descending balloon hits them, you can even drop a limited number of sandbags to lift yourself up again!
Graphically the game is quite sweet and simple, everything is very small due to the wide angle for the cityscape, and control is about as simple as it gets!
Sounds are a real insult to anyone else in the room at the time! Continue blasts and explosions which all sound the same! Horrifically loud bonus sounds, anti-climaxed by a rather feeble cheer when you've leveled the city.

If you like mindless games, or want to really annoy someone for hours, balloonacy is for you!
