"The Dark Knight returns. Based on the Motion Picture."

This is one game I only have bad memories of, curiously enough, and I fear I may not be able to do it justice in a review, still, here we go.
All I really remember is getting horribly stuck on something like the third level, where you have to fight some of Penguin's clowns who are armed with bombs. Problem was that the clowns threw these bombs everywhere, and often killed with two hits. Batman could only kick and punch, against three or four clowns at once, makes it rather one sided!
So putting my seething hatred for this game aside - though somewhat reluctantly - I can say that it is a good game, visually and quite probably exact in to-the-film standards. The graphic backgrounds in this game are detailed and give good atmosphere to the massive, gloomy surroundings of Gotham City, as well as giving an impression of playing the movie!
(Except of course that in the movie Batman is in the Batmobile when he's fighting the clowns for the first time, and he hardly gets out! Whereas we have to pummel every clown in Gotham Square on foot!)
Sorry, fell back into hatred mode. Perhaps I should give it another try, I am sure it is possible and many of you are cursing me for making it sound bad. If you've completed the game, congratulations! You are very much ahead of me in the gaming world!
