"The funnest wargame ever!"

I would think that who ever you ask about which game is the funniest war game ever made, they would answer with Cannon Fodder. It is unquestionably one of the most original and first of its kind games for the war game genre.
But it is not all that the title suggests; your men aren't actually 'cannon fodder' as the phrase describes, you need wit, timing and tactical edge to keep as many of your men alive for as long as possible! Because the more recruits you have standing in line, the higher chance you have of completing the game! And this being a PC title also, the game has a lot of miles on it, I don't even know how many missions there are, but for each mission you have three or four (even five) phases to complete with usually differing objectives.
There are loads of vehicles too that your squad can easily take control of! From tanks to jeeps, from helicopters to ski-dos! Plus personnel armaments such as rocket launchers, grenades and the all important rifles!
It is a hugely addictive game, each mission is basically the same; kill and destroy, but each level brings new tactical challenges which slowly get harder and trickier in all the right ways!
A definite recommendation, even if you don't like strategy of top-down variety you'll easily get the jist of Cannon Fodder!
