"Ready your sword, strengthen your will; a Hard Days Knight's approaching!"

Anyone who knows Moonstone knows that it was a classic on PC and Amiga systems, I wouldn't be surprised if it was on other systems too! The plot revolves around a courageous knight, sent forth by the monks' head wizard, to seek out the legendary Moonstone! To do so he must travel all over the kingdom, facing off and slaying hundreds of foul monsters to collect four talismans that when combined, will open the door to the Moonstone!
But it is never that easy, although the game can be completed in a day - with a lot of toiling in front of a computer screen I might add. You will fight off monsters such as Swamp creatures that grip you in roots and drag you under the mud, huge giants of the mountains who will shake you to death or bite your head off, or murderous ape-men armed with spears, clubs and vast numbers! As you can tell, this game is not short of blood and carnage, and in its own special way, this is the best part of the title!
Black Knights will challenge you frequently, fighting with both sword and throwing knife to hewn your head from your shoulders, but never forget the shadow of the red dragon that sweeps the land!
But it isn't all death and slaughter; you will visit kindly towns and cities as well as your homested - where you will be healed. Within a tavern you can earn gold, potion shops will give health and armouries give you new swords and spells!
Disturb the Wizard of the Tower too many times.... and you won't be far different of Superfrog!
Enjoy this epic title, it is surely a classic that will keep you fighting with bloody merriment!
