"Join forces with a friend or go it alone with your little green duck and defeat the bad guys single handed!"

That is basically the plot of this game, but it doesn't need a plot to be a huge amount of fun! QWAK is quite possibly the most addictive platform game ever made for the Amiga system; whenever I start playing it, I can never stop! The game just keeps you interested and intent in getting as far as you can.
The graphics are not state of the art, but they aren't bad either; very smooth movement and transitions are achieved in this title.
There are literally hundreds of levels - I have yet to reach the end - each different style of stage is different, from arctic, forest and futuristic. The boss stages are not impossible but gradually get harder and harder as each level is passed. There are fun stages too, such as 'Wish I'd Brought my Brolly' and 'Welcome Happy Ghost' that keep your attention on the game on every new stage.
The sound effects and music is what makes this game cute and lovable, not just the colourful looks, from getting Diamond Bonuses and throwing eggs, to defeating enemies and even dying yourself! A game that actually makes it amusing when you die! :¬D
When Team 17 make games, they really can make great games! Though some can argue that all of their titles lack a 'save-game' function, but really that is forgivable; it gives you the excuse of playing games ALL day!
