"He's back... and this time he's got company!"

This game is an incredible evolution of the original Zool, a change that clearly states Zool's massive popularity and Gremlin's well made decision to create a franchise.
For a start, this game came with goodies! It came with a fancy code-breaker wheel (which you need even if you've got a PC emulated copy) a Krool postcard (which I still own) and a sheet of Zool 2 stickers! Also Zool's own novel was released at a similar time to the game: Zool Rules by Boxtree.
Goodies aside, the game is a perfect platform gem! Zool 2 isn't just a standard running shooter, but at times your character - be it Zool or the alluring Zooz - can just blasted chaotically through levels, obliterating everything in your way!
The plot is the sort of story no developer would dream of doing in today's world, which is what's wrong with all computer games now, in my opinion. Zool has been teamed up with two colleagues, Zooz and Zoon by the Grand Master Rool, to save the world of imagination from the clutches of the evil Mental Block! That sort of plot is so simple, yet amusing in itself, which we will never see the like of again...
The music of this game is brilliant, as far as I am concerned, the Egyptian Level is by far the best! Unfortunately, there is a lack in the sound area, in game can only be set at music or FX, you cannot have both. Obviously, you pick the music!
A definite recommendation to play if you've somehow avoided it, but make sure you have the code-breaker. That sort of system can rarely be duplicated.
