Today Fabio Trotta asked Tamascelli Stefano from XTeam Software everything about their future on AMIGA. They brought us Virtual Ballfighters and other Multi platform Titles.

1. Hi there, how long are you an AMIGA User ?

Since 8 years ago, when I first bought an A1200

2. What was your reason to choose the AMIGA ?

Because it was an excellent computer, easy to use

3. What computer(s) do you use at home ?

an A4000T an A1200 and some PC compatibles

4. Tell me about your hobbies beside the AMIGA.

Soccer and pool playing.

5. What are the best games available at the moment ?

Nightlong, Napalm, Earth 2140.

6. How long does XTeam Software Solutions exists ?

Since 3 years.

7. Whats exactly your job at XTeam ??

I am the project manager and responsible for software coding.

8. How many people are working for Xteam Software ?

5 persons plus some freelancers

9. What are your actual projects and when will they be available ?

A multimediale product of physics (style Alchimy) available towards summer. A chess game, available towards christmas (only PC). A arcade billiards (style Arcade Pool) and a graphical adventure.

10. You developing for much platforms. What platforms would you support in the future ?

PC-Windows
Linux
MacOS X

probably
PSX, AmigaDE and XBox

11. Why are some of your actual projects not planned for AMIGA ?

there are two motivations, the first is technical, the second commercial:

1) Actually there aren¹t enough PPC + 3D accelerated video board users
2) The low sellings would set too higher costs for developing

12. What do you think about the actual Classic AMIGA situation ?

Actually important new things lacks. Even if there is the possibility to add PCI boards, we need drivers to use them properly...

13. Are you planning to support the Next Genearation of AMIGAs ?

No precise plans by now. Even if Amiga Inc. has announced the developing of Virtual Ball Fighters for AmigaDE, we've never been contacted by any Amiga responsible nor even bought the SDK. BTW, we've in mind some Java projects and we've developed Alchimy Laboratory Junior which runs on next generations Amigas.

14. Do you have an comment to our community ?

We hope Amiga will shine like in the past years, not certanly for Amiga Inc. but for all the users who didn't betray this machine in the dark moments. The community deserves this !

Thanks for the time and i wish you success on your upcoming projects. May the Spirit be with you ;)
