Spitfire 500: A low end Accelerator for the Amiga 500

Jorgen Bilander, from Sweden, has presented the Spitfire 500, a low-end accelerator card for the Amiga 500 as a GitHub project. As he writes himself, he was heavily inspired by Matthias Heinrich's CDTV-RAM-IDE extension. The finished hardware will equip the Amiga 500 with 14 MHz, an IDE connection and 4 or 8 MB Fast RAM. However, the project is still work in progress, so no KiCad files are currently available. However, this should change with Rev. 1B. The GitHub project also has a link to a demo video that shows the current state of affairs.

Jorgen Bilander points out, however, that if you intend to market the accelerators commercially in the future, you should get Matthias Heinrichs' approval beforehand.

Video and more information can be found in the official GitHub project: https://github.com/jbilander/SF500
