A1200 memory expansion with 8 MB Fast RAM to build yourself
Oleg Mishin has published his third project on GitHub, which is an 8 MB Fast RAM extension for the Amiga 1200 with a real-time clock. The extension relies on a Microchip ATF1508 CPLD, the firmware of which is based, among other things, on the source code of this Amiga 600 8 MB Fast RAM extension: http://lvd.nedopc.com/Projects/a600_8mb/index.html In addition, a circuit board with four layers is useded for this project.
As Oldeg Mishin writes, the goal of this project was to learn more about 68000 CPUs and Verilog. At the moment it is not yet possible to limit the usable memory of the expansion via jumpers or switches for the Amiga 1200.
Images, Gerber files, firmware and further information are available in the GitHub repository: https://github.com/OlegMishin/A1200_8MB_FASTRAM
