AmiGemini 0.5 released: A Gemini browser for the Amiga
We have already reported on Karl Jeacle's AmiGemini project in the past. This is a browser for the relatively new and largely unknown Gemini protocol. This protocol is focused on text contents, which makes it leaner than the HTTP protocol, but compared to the older Gopher protocol it offers the advantage of a protected connection to the server, for example.
Version 0.5 of the likewise still young browser for the Gemini network by Karl Jeacle has now been published. The current version now supports client certificates and identities, saves a list of the most frequently visited Gemini pages and now also enables navigation using keyboard shortcuts. Furthermore, AmiGemini 0.5 now comes with an installation script. It can now handle links with non-ASCII characters and enables more characters to be displayed on narrow screens.
