Tindie: The online marketplace for DIY hardware

Published 21.10.2020 - 20:03 by osz

This message should be interesting for all those who do not trust themselves to produce hardware or who have no time or inclination to do it or who want to offer some self-made hardware themselves.

Tindie is really not new anymore, but when I heard about it from my work colleague, "Amiga" was my first search term there. I wasn't really surprised to see numerous results there. This also worked with the search terms "Commodore", "C64" and "Atari". And of course many more. So I thought that might be a good tip. But what is Tindie?

Anyone who knows the online marketplace Etsy can roughly imagine what is behind Tindie. The original principle of Etsy is to offer artists and skilled craftsmen a marketplace where they can sell their self-made products. Only instead of, for example, handmade jewelry and sewn or knitted goods, there is everything an electronics technician's heart desires. Everything that can somehow be combined under the term hardware finds its place here. From bare circuit boards to fully soldered products.

Have fun browsing and searching or maybe even expanding the range there.
