I’m writing to you because you’re either a guest/participant, exhibitor or sponsor at our event to be held in late June of this year: Flashback 20/20 feat. Amiga 35. Please read the below carefully as the date of the event has changed due to the ongoing impact of Corona/COVID-19.

A lot is going on in the world and due to the current situation we see no other option than to postpone the event until June 26 and 27 of 2021; a full year after the original date for the event. All tickets will remain valid for the new dates.

Even though the measures in the Netherlands are less strict than was the case in the previous few months, there are a lot of things we – as organizers of an event of substantial size – need to consider and guarantee. The biggest impact on the event is, of course, the social distancing; those rules still apply and in fairness to you, our visitor, our event just wouldn’t be the same with these rules in place.

Another big reason is that we are organizing an international event; we have speakers and guests flying in from all over the world including from some countries where the situation is currently a lot worse than here. It would be unfair and unjust to rob those people of the chance to participate what (still) promises to be the best retro-computer themed event in years.

We would have loved to organize Flashback 20/20 feat. Amiga 35 this year – unfortunately, Corona got in our way. The last thing we wanted to do was cancel the event, so we prepared a backup plan… twice! We now look forward to seeing you next June and hope you still are as committed as we are.

All exhibitor and guest confirmations are valid for the new dates. If we have booked a hotel room for you, we will change the dates on that reservation. If we’ve booked, or were to book, a flight for you we will reach out to you at a date closer to the event to discuss options and (re)book the flight that is right for you. If you’ve booked a hotel yourself and it’s one of our preferred hotels (as listed on our website), please reach out to them directly: they are aware of the situation and the new date. If you’ve booked a hotel and/or flights yourself through another channel, please reach out to them to change your reservation. Most hotels and airlines have been very lenient in allowing changes during these trying times.

We will make sure that we use the extra time between now and June next year to prepare for an even better event!
