EPIC ACTION” C64 & Amiga Music Album Kickstarter underway

Published 01.10.2021 - 12:31 by AndreasM

TORONTO, CANADA - September 30, 2021 - Indie gamedev studio Prismatic Realms, Inc. announced that their first ever Kickstarter for a Commodore 64 and Amiga music remake album entitled Epic Action Vol 1 is currently underway and is already nearly 1/3rd funded.

The album features modern Hollywood-style action film score renditions of classic C64 and Amiga game music and boasts big titles from games like Turrican, The Great Giana Sisters, Shadow of the Beast, Master of Magic, Speedball 2, Another World and many more.

The rewards being offered in this campaign are numerous, interesting and adds plenty of value to potential backers. Rewards include digital (and some physical) albums provided by:

Chris Abbott/C64Audio.com
Chris Huelsbeck
Dr.Future, of AmigaRemix fame, and
Matthew Smith, the man behind Amiga Power: The Album with Attitude

“I’m always happy to see a new musical production coming from our favourite platform,” said Ian Griffiths, Editor of Amiga Addict Magazine. “If Prismatic Realms can deliver half the promise of their demo tracks, this will live up to its name - HeroQuest through the lens of cinema already sounds monumental!”

The campaign has been drawing the attention of fans from across the globe, from Canada to England, from Germany to Australia, and more. Press outlets have been raving about the project as well. “Beautifully crafted and reimagined Commodore 64 and Amiga classics. It’s music to my ears,” said Vinny Mainolfi, creator of the FREEZE64 fanzine, the world’s premier gaming magazine for the Commodore 64.

Some of the original game’s composers have also chimed in. Regarding the inclusion of Amiga’s Lost Patrol in the album, original Lost Patrol composer Chris Glaister himself, said: “This is when my past catches up with me... in a nice way. Ex Amiga game musician gets the full filmic Hollywood treatment!”
