First of all: I'm not good at sorting games into exact generes.

I think the current title by Abyss is a Side Scroller Shooter/Shoot 'em up. Strictly speaking, it is another arcade port from the Abyss Tiny series, this time we have a Gradius or Nemesis remake for the Amiga here. Friends of R-Type or Menace should be satisfied with this game. It runs on an Amiga 500 but there are some slow-downs, so you better should have at least the performance of an Amiga 1200, which is also recommended.

You steer a spaceship through the vastness of space and shoot away whole hordes of enemies. There is really no shortage of them. Fortunately, you also collect extras, so you can defend yourself better and more powerfully in the course of the game.
