We are a huge fan of shoot 'em ups and vertical shooters on Indie Retro News, from the sci-fi based shoot 'em up of R-Type to Capcom's brilliant World War 2 vertical Shooter of 1942. Well here we are with another Arcade game announcement, as thanks to Saberman contacting us today, we have been told that Magnus T together with JMD is working on a Commodore Amiga remake of 'Flying Shark'; A 1987 vertically scrolling shooter arcade video game that was originally developed by Toaplan and released on the Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Commodore 64, FM Towns, MS-DOS, Nintendo Entertainment System, X68000 and ZX Spectrum!

In late 2020, Mutation Software announced the second part of their top-down shooter, Cyberpunk. That was supposed to be out in Q3 2021, but it didn't. But now the game has been confirmed for the fourth quarter of 2023 and a first teaser video now exists. Cyberpunks was a top-down shooter game for the Amiga developed by Mutation and published by Core back in 1993.

Report+ Update released

Report+ released in the Version 8.3.

Report+ is a freeware ReAction-based utility with nine functions:
  • It is an enhanced, reverse-engineered, 100% byte-compatible replacement for the official Commodore bug reporting tool (V40.2), optionally sending emails automatically.
  • It can generate/edit Aminet-style readmes.
  • It can edit A3000/A4000-type battery-backed memory.
  • It can access the official manufacturer and product ID registries.
  • It can view IFF/RIFF files and their component chunks.
  • It can perform batch processing on icon files.
  • It can convert between various ASCII formats.
  • It can show directory byte usage for any path, optionally also fixing protection bits.
  • It can take a snapshot of a path and later compare the path against this, showing added, missing and changed files.
