A relatively new protocol is the Gemini protocol: gemini: // The protocol, which is focused on text content, aims to fill a gap between the Gopher and HTTP protocols and does not replace any of these protocols. It is lighter than Gopher and heavier than the Hypertext Transfer Protocol. Perhaps the first Gemini browser for the Amiga is AmiGemini. The initial release 0.1 was at the beginning of August, now version 0.3 has been released. If you want to take a look at the young network and research it, you will find AmiGemini on Aminet: https://aminet.net/package/comm/net/AmiGemini
