Fixed bug in Filetypes plugin. Some procedure code had not been updated for new plugin format.

Created basic directory browser plugin, dir2text. You need to download the new executable to use this. Drag a directory on to the window to open it.

Reprint of the Amiga Guru Book

Published 20.04.2007 - 12:42 by AndreasM

Some time ago we rereleased the German Amiga Guru Book. We have promised to care for a reprint of the English Amiga Guru Book aswell.

Recently we've been fully occupied with various other projects (amongst others the English version of the Amiga Future) and couldn't take care of the Guru Book.

Now we have more time and want to work more intensely on this project. [...]

BITbyBIT: Signs of Life...

Published 19.04.2007 - 09:56 by AndreasM

Wow, it seems like forever since I have posted anything on the website about AVD, or much else for that matter. ;-) In fact it has been three and half months, which in the scope of the Amiga's life time (both alive and dead), is very little time at all. Although it always feels like an eternity when those of us in the Amiga community are all busy playing the seemingly never-ending game of "Wait and see."

So, the first quarter of 2007 is now past us by already and I know there are several of you out there asking, "What is that Jamie guy doing anyway, and where is my finished copy of AVD?"

A/NES News

Published 19.04.2007 - 09:56 by AndreasM

Today I decided to upload a small beta of the upcoming version. I've implemented a small savestate-function. Try pressing F5 during play to create a savestate. By pressing F6, the game will load your savestate.
Could be usefull when you're tired of replaying the level because you died. Just beat a couple of enemies, do the savestate, beat some more, press F5 again etc. If you die, simply press F6 and the gameplay will resume from your last savepoint.
This feature is kind of experimental at the moment and may work better with some mappers than others, so be careful. Mapper1 & 4 are most likely to cause problems at the moment.
