CommodoreGaming: The Wintel Vista PC with Commodore Label

Finally the secret about Commodore Gaming is disclosed. The news computers with the C= Label are ordinary Windows Vista PCs. As only extra the midi-tower cases shows a moulded big C= on their sides and the cases are painted with scenes of computer games in airbrush optik.

HTMLview MUI custom class finally released under LGPL

The HTMLview.mcc MUI class authors are proud to announce that finally after 10 years of successfull development on the AmigaOS platform, the full sources of the HTMLview.mcc MUI custom class are now released under the LGPL license.

Since 2000 the sources were kinda lost because the original author (Allan Odgaard) faced a harddisk crash. However, in early 2005 another try was started to recover the sources from that particular harddisk and luckily the full sources were salvaged from it. Therefore the sources are now release under the LGPL Open source license to 1. attract more developers to it and 2. to have "the internet" as the future backup server for it. [...]

Cell in 65nm

Like it was already told in other newstickers, IBM plans to produce the Cell, their PPC prozessor used in Sony's PS3, with their new 65nm prozess.
Although IBM provides its 65nm prozess to AMD, they still produced the Cell in their older 90nm process.
A 65nm version would consume less energie, needs less cooling and would be cheaper, cause it needs less chip area. [...]
