ham_convert is a freeware tool developed by Sebastian Sieczko in Java, more precisely a graphics converter. It enables common image formats to be converted into a graphics mode appropriate for the Amiga and high-quality HAM images to be created using a so-called brute force search. ham_convert generates ILBM IFF files in the Amiga graphics modes: EHB, HAM6, HAM8, 2/4/8/16/32/64/128/256 color indexed and PCHG - 4/8/16/32/EHB- modes. With the currently released version 1.8.6, the tool gets improvised multithreading. In addition a code cleanup has been made.
The download of ham_convert can be done from the author's site: http://mrsebe.bplaced.net/blog/wordpress/?p=1533
