FrogFind.com: DuckDuckGo search on vintage systems

FrogFind.com: DuckDuckGo search on vintage systems

At the end of March we reported on 68k.news, a web project by Sean, better known on YouTube as Action Retro. This is a resource-efficient and vintage computer-friendly parser for Google News. Today we want to recommend another Sean project to you: FrogFind!

The enthusiastic collector of old Mac systems has set up a resource-saving web search, which is based on the data protection specialist DuckDuckGo search service. All search results and the following pages, if you follow the links in the search results, are based on simple HTML 2 standard without images, CSS and JavaScript. Of course, so many of the page functions that are common today are not available, but at least access to much of the information there is made possible via numerous old computer systems with Internet access. Games That Werent: The Chaos Engine early screens (Amiga)

Published 24.04.2021 - 12:13 by AndreasM

One of my favourite Amiga games of all time, The Chaos Engine was released by The Bitmap Brothers in 1993 for the Amiga and various other platforms over the years. The game was closely followed across its development, so it was clearly going to result in screenshots showing many different assets and features that would not make the final cut. Grzegorz Antosiewicz delivers once again by providing a series of screens highlighting features that didn’t make it.
