Re: powerpc binaries in 68k release?

I wanted to play around with the ppp_dialer of Roadshow 1.9 on my 68k machine. Unfortunately, the binary is a PowerPC ELF version and not a 68k version :( Same seems to be true for ppp_sample and ppp_connector. ppp_connector: ELF 32-bit MSB executable, PowerPC or cisco 4500, version 1 (SYSV), stati...

Re: Teathering

Woe that's a little complicated for me ,I have a wireless card I have the correct wireless drivers ,I have a Samsung 4 phone does this mean I can connect using Roadshow or not . No, you cannot. You need a dedicated device for this, e.g. something like the NetGear Wireless-N 150 access point WN604 ,...

The demo version shutting down is a delicate matter :-( Roadshow needs to tell all currently running programs that it has to quit, but not all programs are prepared to follow that signal. They may expect to be shut down through their user interface only, and the alternative method Roadshow employs ...

Re: Roadshow crashes.

It should be possible to start the network by double-clicking on the respective network interface configuration file rather than have it set up from S:Network-Startup. Yeah, tried that, and it works inconsistently. Do you actually start the original Network-Startup script, as provided with Roadshow...

Re: Roadshow crashes.

Hi, When I run Roadshow from Workbench using the network-startup script (from a CLI window or project icon), then sometimes it works properly and sometimes it simply crashes. When I let the program start as normal through user-startup it always seems to work fine. Apparently c:addnetinterface someh...

Did you test with OS 2.x or 3.1? Only with 3.1. I'm afraid I no longer have any machine at hand which can run Kickstart 2.04, has a 68000 CPU and supports adding a NIC :-( How did you test, with FTP? Which client? In this particular test I used a special test program, which is optimed for receiving...

More info about my A600 problems: AmIRC: crashes as soon as connected to a channel. AmFTP: crashes as soon as connected to a server. NCFTP: quits with "Bus error" as soon as connected to a server and Roadshow68k shuts down the active connection, but is possible to start again. I did test ...

Wow, that was quick! Did you really set up everything already, including the default route and the DNS servers?
