That is the question. Too bad that over all that time that's passed - as far as I'm concerned - DBPro has become a mere curiosity rather than a tool I'd seriously use...
Yes, indeed! It's more than sad that our beloved composing tool number one still hasn't been released in an optimized version.
There are so many ways to improve the performance itself and the features in detail, but it seems that nobody wants to do the coding! But why? Most of the work has already been done. In fact, the next steps would be more or less improvements of existing functions.
Still there is no subsitute for Digibooster at all. Concerning tracking software Digibooster is state of the art. While the PC freaks use Reason or comparable tools in order to compose their tracks, the old-school tracking software seems to be a kind of dying species.
I hope that some day someone will perform the task and release a new version of Digibooster. The current version is good, but there's a lot of work to do!

Well, with all you've said, you're right. The current version is good, but there's a lot of work to do!
May be you've noticed, we are working on a new version of Digibooster Professional. It will be no update of 2.21. It will be Digibooster Professional 3. Yes ! Hm, well... you can it also call as update But in the next generation.
The current alpha 13 is working very well, but still more to do! I hope we'll get soon a beta of it and of course for the public.
bye...

I just took a look @ DBPro... I rememberred having bought it 1999 in Cologne at the fair. 69 DM? Hehe...
I also bought the delphina (?) soundcard for the A1200 clockport... But never got in contact with all because of Cubase on the PC.
As an old Protracker 3.61 fanatic and after a lot of professional Cubase-Work I serious think of getting in contact again with tracker. And why not on my Amiga?
I´m really excited what the future will give to DBPro! Keep it comin´

I've been working with Cubase for several times, but the main concept is not the same like using a tracker.
By using a tracker it's ensured, that you get the thing you have "coded" by placing the approriate hex codes, while applying a tool like Cubase is something completely different. There's a large difference between those two concepts and it's not easy to tell which of them is the most professional. There's no right or wrong.
