internet via pcmcia nic and kabelmodem (kabelbw)

Hello,

is there anyone out having his amiga hooked up to the internet via the kabelbw kabelmodem?

How can this be performed with miamidx or genesis?

I don't know my local ip and not yet the dhcp server adress at kabelbw.

You don't get a local IP address from kabelbw. At least not a fixed one.

The DHCP protocol does not need an address. Just enable DHCP in Miami, that's all. Genesis is not able to use DHCP.

zunächst Danke für Deine Antwort. Bin momentan am Umstellen und vorübergehend kaum online.

Yep, war mir soweit bekannt. Ich hatte aber zuerst versucht über den PC meine aktuelle lokale IP herauszufuchsen, weil ich mit meinem Amiga noch gar nichts erkannt habe.

Also nur MiamiDX (oder evtl. auch nur Miami?) Das Einrichten war demnach leichter als erwartet. Grundsätzlich leichter als irgend ein DSL.
Ich habe zwei gleiche CNet40BC Karten für zwei 1200er, eine davon ist aber defekt, bloß wenn nichts geht ist es schwer die Gute zu erkennen. Die Defekte findet nie eine IP. Wenn ich nur umstecke und die MAC Adresse anpasse klappts sofort mit den selben Einstellungen. Für mein A1200T wäre ein 90° pcmcia Adapter brauchbar, der letzte war mechanisch defekt.
Daher bin ich mit dem kleinen 1200er unterwegs bis ich meinen Tower bearbeitet habe. Die Adapter sind wohl schon ausgestorben.
