CED 5.6 has issue with text highlighter.
Post by my_pc_is_amiga »
If I select text and then scroll I see the highlighted graphic messed up as though not everything is getting refreshed. I see it on Amiga native as well as RTG screen. Not seen on CED 3.5. See image.

Yes, still happens without startup-sequence. I opened up CygnusEd from the boot shell without workbench loaded.

This is a A4000T with a 060 on 3.2 with 3.2 ROMs. But I also was able to blizkick OS3.1 ROMs and boot 3.1OS and see it in OS3.1 as well.

Thank you, I have a hunch as to what might be causing this, but had little success in reproducing the problem locally. You using the A4000T points into a certain direction worth exploring, thoughmy_pc_is_amiga wrote: ↑30.11.2021 - 17:07 This is a A4000T with a 060 on 3.2 with 3.2 ROMs. But I also was able to blizkick OS3.1 ROMs and boot 3.1OS and see it in OS3.1 as well.

Main way to reproduce is to first highlight and then use scroll bar to move up and down.

I found and fixed the problemmy_pc_is_amiga wrote: ↑30.11.2021 - 18:34 Main way to reproduce is to first highlight and then use scroll bar to move up and down.

The cause was "cleverly" hidden by the choice of scrolling options which I had been using for years. If you use File->Set scroll jump->8 Pixels like I did, then the problem would not appear when scrolling. But all other choices (1 pixel, 2 pixels, 4 pixels) would show the problem. The solution is to turn off the highlighting before scrolling takes place.
